Error Codes
Common flashing errors and their solutions.
E001
Serial port access denied
Close other applications using the port, or run browser with elevated permissions.
E002
Device not responding
Ensure device is in bootloader mode. Hold BOOT, press RESET, release BOOT.
E003
Checksum mismatch
Re-download firmware file. The file may be corrupted.
E004
Flash write failed
Try lower baud rate (115200). Check USB cable quality.
E005
Timeout waiting for packet header
Device not responding. Verify bootloader mode and connections.
E006
Invalid partition table
Use correct partition scheme for your flash size.
E007
Wrong chip detected
Verify you selected the correct chip type in settings.
E008
Flash size mismatch
The firmware is larger than available flash. Check device specifications.
Most common fix: If you're getting connection errors, try a different USB cable. Many cables are charge-only and don't support data transfer.
